How Much Money Do You Need to Buy a Home Workshop

How Much Money Do You Need to Buy a Home Workshop

Thank you so much for attending our workshop where we covered all things money, when it comes to buying a home, including:

  • How much (or how little) funds are needed
  • When the funds are needed
  • Where the funds can come from
  • Strategies for reducing the funds needed to buy a home

If this workshop, I referenced the Washignton State Housing Finance Commission's down payment assistance programs. They have many programs available, which require you to take a 5 hour class (online or in person). This workshop does not apply towards that program and I can help you with the WSHFC's mortgage programs, if you're interested. There are other programs available too - it's best to compare and determine which one works the best for you if you're considering a down payment assistance program. Of course, I'm happy to help you with that!

Optional Homework:

  • Review spending and create a budget
  • Check with your employer to see if you have a 401(K) and if they match contributions. Review how much you're contributing.
  • Review your asset accounts to see what your possible funds are for buying a home

Remember, you don't need 20% down to buy a home!

If you're thinking about buying a home, even if it's a year or more away, let's talk! It's never to early to start creating a plan so you're in the best position when you're ready to buy. Click here to schedule a Discovery Call.
